Puzzles

Each artwork is an attempt to visually synthesize the symptoms, experiences and fragilities connected to a psychological condition.

I chose the puzzle because, to me, it was the obvious way to represent the many variables that intertwine to shape a person, just as the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle come together to form a single recognizable image.

The series is inspired by mental disorders and by certain psychological conditions. Its starting point is the idea that these are not experiences completely separate from ordinary life, but human traits that belong to everyone, and that can interfere with everyday functioning when they become extreme.

The fragmented face does not simply represent a condition; it asks the viewer to explore the image and piece it back together. In this process, a more personal involvement may emerge: something that concerns the viewer directly, or the people close to them.

The series continues to evolve over time and moves forward only when an image comes to me clearly enough to make me want to draw it. Each time, it is finished for the moment.

Ah Ah Ah! Non hai detto la parola magica!
