The face breaks apart into fragments, while the figure screams as its own image disintegrates, as if a built-up tension could no longer be contained.

The work comes from the idea of representing the emotional and identity instability associated with borderline personality disorder. Fear of abandonment, impulsivity, difficulties in relationships and an unstable sense of self become pieces that can no longer hold together.

The scream is not only an explosion of anger or suffering, but also a cry for help. I wanted to show a personality under constant tension, at the moment when that tension gives way and it becomes impossible to keep holding a stable form.
