The title ‘The Two Towers in Bologna’ refers to the Asinelli Tower and the Garisenda Tower, symbols of the city of Bologna. The scene depicts life moving in the exact center of the city.

The seated women, the man on the bicycle, the students, and the distant cars represent a singularity that exists only in relation to others and is the essence of human psychology, which has evolved from interaction with the social environment.
