This portrait is entirely hand-drawn using coloured pencils and ink pen on A2 200 g/m2 paper. It is a tribute to the character of Jordan Belfort, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio in “The Wolf of Wall Street” by Martin Scorsese.
I chose to refer to the iconic scene in which Jordan proudly displays a banknote in his office, in the film’s prologue. This emblematic moment perfectly embodies the greed, ambition, and audacity of the protagonist, offering a glimpse into his psychology.
The choice to immortalize Leonardo DiCaprio in “The Wolf of Wall Street” and this specific moment highlights the complexity of the character and his relationship with money, a key element of the plot and characterization outlined by Martin Scorsese.
