Borderline Personality
Coloured pencil and ink pen on paper
60 x 40 cm (23.6 x 15.7 inches)
The work depicts a woman screaming and scattering pieces of herself, as if the screaming of a borderline personality would lead the person to disintegrate.
The arrangement of the pieces is reminiscent of an explosion, referring to the uncontrollable emotional blast and impulsiveness typical of people with borderline traits.
Fear of abandonment, unstable self-image, emotional dysregulation and split, even temporary, personality are the underlying fuse that causes the woman’s unheard scream.
