This work portrays Lucio Dalla through the lyrics of his songs, selected to bring together two different dimensions.

On one side, there is the Dalla everyone in Italy recognizes and loves, the one associated with his most famous and widely shared songs. On the other, there is a more personal Dalla, connected to the songs I have listened to the most and that carry a particular meaning for me. The portrait grew out of the meeting between these two images: the collective one and the subjective one.

With this work, I also began to experiment more, using a wider range of colors and emphasizing the difference in scale between the words. I wanted to guide the viewer’s eye toward certain lines, making them more immediately readable.
