Pixel Chaplin is perhaps one of the most essential portraits in the series.
Chaplin built his image around the power of very few elements. The moustache, the hat, the cane, and the silhouette of the body were already enough to make him recognizable to anyone, even before time turned that figure into a global icon. That is why, in this case, I was even less interested in adding any unnecessary elements to portray him.
I chose colors that recalled the grain of early films, with a tone close to sepia. I wanted the portrait to have something simple and worn about it, like a film image damaged by time before being restored.
