For Tribute to Guccini, I started from an image connected to the years of Italian singer-songwriting and political protest.
I wanted to portray the more political and iconic Guccini, the one associated with lyrics that, in Italy, have become part of a widely shared cultural memory. His words belong not only to his discography, but also to a collective imagination made of lines and phrases that many people in Italy recognize even beyond direct listening.
In this calligram, I wanted to work precisely on that dimension, building the face of an author through texts that, over time, have become part of common culture.
